Opquast Slackbot

If you use the Slack messaging tool, you can now use the Opquast for Slack application. This little tool will allow you to send Opquast rules with their objectives, the tags concerned and of course the link to the form. Well, as we don’t like to do things by halves, the rules are available in French, English and Spanish.

To begin install the application or ask your administrator to install it in your workspace. To do this, click on this button:

Add to Slack

For now you’ll get a yellow banner that tells you the app isn’t yet validated by Slack, but good news, you can already play with it, and promise, there’s nothing nasty in it.

Type a command of the form /opquast language number, for example

  • /opquast in 12 to get rule number 12 in English
  • /opquast es 124 to have rule 124 in Spanish.

Here’s what it will look like (screenshots):

This idea came to me a few months ago while using the giphy app to send gifs. I talked about it to the person who sends the most gifs in the world on Slack namely Rémi Huguet and I asked him to prepare this little proto for us. A few months later, here is the first version of this little robot.

Thanks to him and the rest of the team who made it possible to get this new toy.

Now we’re going to make it better, and until then, I’ll just say one thing: have fun.

Ideas and requests

  • Can error messages be in the requested language?
  • Could we have /opquast es random to play bingo?
  • Is the code free? Not yet, but we’ll keep you posted
  • Can you do the same for telegram?
  • Can you do the same for teams?
  • Can you do the same for rockechat?
